Impact Lab is a five-day offsite learning experience on leadership, finance, and sustainability for non-profit organizations designed by Crafted Learning and NGO Finance Hub – two organizations joining forces for greater impact.

NGO professionals are coming together in Tirana to step away from their daily cycle of work and taking part in a tailored experience which blends practical tools, reflective learning, and cultural experiences to strengthen how non-profit leaders collaborate, plan, and communicate.

With over a decade of experience in non-profit financial management, Borana brings a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic advisory skills, and hands-on capacity-building experience. With a background in accounting and auditing, European Union Affairs, teaching and consultancy for international foundations and UN agencies, Borana supports organisations with financial management, accounting services, and tailored training programmes. Founder of NGO Finance Hub with an evident passion for finance in the non-profit sector Borana is ready to share her expertise and insight with Impact Lab participants.

With almost two decades of experience in international development, Hande offers a fine blend of theory and practice when it comes to the non-profit sector. Having worked with a wide range of donors and stakeholders on an international scale, Hande has ample experience in fundraising, program development and institutional management. Founder of Crafted Learning, a female entrepreneur and currently working as a Mentor and Trainer, she is tailor-making the sessions on leadership, communication and storytelling. Equipped with practical and theoretical knowledge gathered through hands-on experience, Hande is looking forward to sharing her expertise and insight with Impact Lab participants.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cancellation policy

Plans can change and therefore we all need some flexibility. If you’ve completed the registration process but can no longer make it to Tirana, then let us know as soon as possible. We can offer multiple solutions to accommodate your situation.

Option 1: Transfer to next events

Impact Lab for NGOs is not a one-off experience. So, you can simply postpone when and where you meet us as long as you make this decision no later than 4 weeks to the event.

Option 2: There is more than 1 month (30 days) to the event

We can still shuffle a couple of things and make some adjustments at this stage so a refund of 50% would be available.

Option 3: Less than a month but more than a week

Now, that’s a pickle for all parties concerned. Nonetheless, we can still provide a refund of 25% and hope to see you in prospective events.

Option 4: It’s within the last 7 days

Well, there is not much we can do at this point and therefore no refunds will be given if cancellation happens within the last 7 days.

Location

We will be staying at Rogner Hotel Tirana, a 5-star hotel in the heart of the city providing a wide range of services to its guests. You can find more about the hotel here:

The majority of our sessions will be conducted at the hotel premises, sometimes in conference rooms and sometimes outdoors making the most of the gardens and fresh air.

Accommodation

Your stay will include a double room which comes with an air-conditioner, free internet connection, coffee/tea making facilities as well as a mini bar.

Logistics

We have that covered. Based on your travel itinerary, you will be picked up from the airport on May 25th and transferred to the hotel. An airport transfer will also be arranged for the date of your departure from the hotel to the airport.

Food & drinks

Every morning starts with a healthy breakfast at the hotel.

Multiple coffee breaks with refreshments and small bites will be provided throughout the sessions.

What to bring

On this occasion, the lighter you travel, the better. However, we certainly need you to bring your laptops as there will be many practical exercises where laptops will be necessary.

We also recommend that you bring walking shoes – trainers, sneakers, etc. so that you can explore Tirana without getting sore feet.

If you would like to join the morning yoga sessions, then certainly pack your fitness attire. We will provide you with yoga mats and tools of the trade.

What to take away

All the material used throughout the sessions will be shared with you afterwards. We will also provide you with notepads and pens as part of your goodie bag.
